About the Friends

 

The Friends began in 1989 and are focused on enhancing the park as a much loved green space. As well as this we’re delighted to have organised the following:

Every December we organise Carols in the Park with music from Keith McMurray and friends.

In 2019 we put up an Information Panel about the park, designed by Simon Bottrell and Sue Korman.

From 2019 – 2023 our Sponsor a Tree Project led to our planting 42 new trees in the park. This project was initiated by Phil Allen and managed by our Committee.

Throughout 2024 we raise funds to repair the Victorian Clock in our Park. This project was managed by Sally Cranfield, Sue Korman, Simon Bottrell and Mel Hickford..
